Dan Alan Hawkes

HAWKES, Dan A. 64 of Englewood, passed away Thursday April 26, 2007 after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie & Mary Frances (nee Adams) Hawkes, his brother Roger Hawkes. Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Jean (nee Angel) Hawkes, stepchildren, Cheryl & her husband Robert Davis of Louisville, KY, Steven Miley of Arlington, VA, Connie Miley of Medina, OH, 1 grandson Brandon Davis; 2 sisters-in-law and their husbands, Debi & Chuck Esposito of Beavercreek, Carolyn & Mike Ling of Warner Robbins, GA, brother-in-law and his wife Tom & Michelle Angel of Kettering, several loving cousins, nieces, nephews and extra special friends, and neighbors. Also special pet Lady. Dan was retired from ACD Corp., was a US Air Force Veteran serving in Viet Nam, was a member of the VFW, enjoyed woodworking & fine craftsmanship, loved nature and the outdoors. Dan's family would like to extend a Very Special thank you to Jack & Betty Hawkes for all of their support and care, special thank you to the staff at Grandview Hospital in the Advanced Care Unit; Stephanie, Scott & Cliff in Medical ICU; staff at Hospice of Dayton, especially Carrie Schroeder & Laureene Bollinger. Thanks also to Cheryl, Steven & Connie for being there with your love and support. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday April 30, 2007 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road with Reverend Dick Van Tine of Shiloh Church presiding, burial will follow in Shiloh Park Cemetery. Dan's family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
